Dear readers,
So much has happened since I last wrote.
I have to say having a baby in the house again is wonderful. I didn’t realize how much I had missed this. Sure I have held grandchildren and friends kids but there is something special about snuggling with your own baby.
My garden is coming along so great. Today I picked even more crops to sell at the local market.
So I put Kaa in his stroller and we walked to the grocery store.
I made another $3,000. It was dark when we left the grocery store so we took a taxi home.
When we got home Tenika was there waiting for us. After we got inside and I had put Kaa to bed I went to see what she wanted. Before I could even ask what was up she had thrown her arms around me and was sobbing on my shoulder.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” I asked.
“You know how I told you Griffen asked me to marry him and I said I needed to think about it?”
“Yes, did you come to a decision.”
“I’m pregnant. I found out a few days ago. I already planned on saying yes but this just confirmed that I was making the right decision. We are going to be a family. I love Griffen and this little one so much.”
“Ok so what’s wrong?” I asked again.
“I haven’t been able to tell Griffen yet. He went back home to Sunset Valley to visit his family. He asked me to go with him but I said I needed to stay here and think. He is do back next week. But like I told you before my father hates Griffen and when he found out I was pregnant he threw me out of the house. I have no where to go. At least until Griffen gets back. I don’t have a key for his place. And since this is a vacation destination hotels are real expensive. I just don’t know what to do.”
“Stay with me. I have plenty of room and it will be good having another adult around.”
“Really? Oh thank you so much.”
“No problem. Now lets go get you settled.”
I feel so bad for Tenika the morning sickness has really hit her hard. (so it looks like only Eve doesn’t get morning sickness anymore).
I had heard somewhere that exercise can help with the morning sickness (not sure if that is true) so we have started doing cardio together in the mornings.
When Griffen returned Tenika let him know right away that she would marry him and that she is expecting.
He was thrilled and they set a wedding date for before the baby is born. We decided that Tenika would continue to stay with me until the wedding.
Gilberto also got back to town and since he was between games decided to stop by.
He was feeling grimy from traveling so we decided to save water and shower together. Hopefully, baby 47 is on the way.
The next day Kaa, Tenika, and I went to the salon to find Tenika a wedding dress.
“So what kind of dress are you looking for?” the wedding consultant asked.
“Oh something appropriate for an outdoor wedding. Something that will fit over my baby bump. I will be full term on my wedding day.
“I think I have just the dress.”
I think she looked beautiful. As soon as I saw her in it I knew it was perfect.
When we got home we watched some cartoons.
And I spent some quality time with Kaa.
The next morning I felt baby 47 move for the first time. He/she must take after Gilberto because it feels like I have an entire sports team moving around in there.
I was also desperately craving pancakes. I can remember back when I was pregnant with my very first child Laura I craved pancakes all the time too. I can’t believe I am so close to the half way point of this journey. It seems like just yesterday I was starting this journey. Now Laura is grown with kids and grandkids of her own.
After breakfast I received a call that Kueanu had past away in his sleep last night. I am heartbroken for Kaa as he never got to meet his dad.
I didn’t have time though to dwell on it because I had Tenika’s wedding to get through. They make a beautiful couple and I am happy for them. I was happy to see Tenika’s mom, sister, and brother all attended the wedding but was sorry to see her father didn’t come. I could tell it bothered her even though she tried not to let it show.
Gilberto came to the wedding and I let him know that I was pregnant. He seemed pleased with the news.
After the wedding I held a small birthday celebration for Kaa. A few of the wedding guests stuck around to help celebrate.
He is such an adorable boy. I really wish he could have gotten to know his father.
Now that Tenika is married it is just Kaa and I in the house. Each morning I get him up and take him to the potty to work on his potty training.
Then we spend some time together playing, reading, or working on skills like talking.
Once Kaa goes down for his nap I go outside and work in the garden.
This routine was going well until one day as I was coming inside for the night I went into labor.
I gave birth to Grace (named for Grace on Disney’s Home on the Range).
After I had Grace I felt another contraction. I have had twins many times so was not surprised.
I had another girl, Giselle from Disney’s Enchanted.
I was however surprised when following Giselle’s birth I had yet another contraction. I have only had triplets once before back in Hidden Springs.
I had a third daughter, Gosalyn from Disney’s Darkwing Duck.
Wow, a toddler and infant triplets. I am really wishing Tenika was still living here.
